Through our Partner Protection Insurance program, offered in collaboration with a leading insurance provider, Bonjo offers comprehensive insurance coverage at no cost to eligible driver-partners and riders. This program is designed to provide critical support during accidents or life-changing incidents that may occur while using the Bonjo platform.
Key Coverage Areas
Medical Coverage
- Accident-related Treatment: Reimbursement for necessary medical expenses incurred due to an On-Trip accident, up to ₦500,000.
- Ambulance Services: Up to ₦25,000 is covered for ambulance transport resulting from an On-Trip accident.
Death and Funeral Benefits
- Lump Sum Payment: In the event of a fatal accident during a trip, the deceased’s dependents receive ₦2,500,000.
- Burial Assistance: An additional ₦200,000 is provided to cover funeral and burial expenses.
Permanent Disability Compensation
- If a driver-partner or rider sustains permanent disabilities from an On-Trip accident, they are entitled to a lump sum of up to ₦2,500,000, depending on the severity and extent of the disability.
Daily Hospitalisation Payment
- If a driver or dispatcher is hospitalised for more than 24 hours and unable to work due to an On-Trip incident, they receive a daily payment of ₦2,000, up to a maximum of 30 days, upon medical certification.
Personal Effects Coverage
- Passengers are eligible for compensation up to ₦100,000 per person (with a trip maximum of ₦200,000) for loss or damage to personal items sustained during an On-Trip incident.
Monthly Healthcare Scheme
- Bonjo driver and dispatcher partners have access to basic healthcare services at designated medical facilities, with treatment capped at ₦10,000 per month. This ensures access to routine health services and preventive care.
Scope of Coverage
- On-Trip Activation: Insurance protection is automatically active from the time a trip is started on the Bonjo App until the trip ends. No manual activation or enrollment is required.
- Who is Covered: The policy covers driver/dispatcher partners and riders/customers during all Bonjo trips.
Claim and Access Process
- Filing a Claim: In case of an incident, claims can be submitted via the Bonjo App, using the form below or by contacting our insurance provider’s 24/7 support hotline.
- Accessing Healthcare: Partners must present valid Bonjo identification at any approved healthcare facility to access monthly medical benefits.
